HOUSTON, TX—Erickson Living has named Ben Cornthwaite as the Executive Director of Eagle’s Trace, a continuing care retirement community in Houston.
Previously, Cornthwaite served as Associate Executive Director of Riderwood, an Erickson Living community in Silver Spring, Maryland.
For more than six years, he was Senior Administrator for the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities at Greenspring in Springfield, Virginia. His leadership resulted in a deficiency-free state survey for 2010 and contributed to being awarded a 5-star CMMS rating, the federal government’s highest quality ranking.
His background there also includes two years as Administrator where he had similar success: a 2007 deficiency-free survey, achievement of CARF /CCAC accreditation and development of a licensed hospice program.
Prior to joining Erickson Living, Cornthwaite was an Administrator for Medical Facilities of America. He holds an MA degree in Management of Aging Services from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a BS degree in Health Services Administration from James Madison University.
